Group D - Modern MG (2009 - 2022), 2019 MG3

My favourite MG memory was showing my late Grandmother my car after purchasing it. My Grandma was always heavily invested in my driving lessons and also me staying safe on the road. She was proud of my achievement of owning my first car and was especially proud of it being such a nice and safe car.

Group F - MG Specials, 1977

Built 1977 MGBGT into a V8 race car, and raced at the MG Charity Classic meeting at Manfeild. Tried too hard to catch some other cars, ran wide, ended up plowing through the gravel at the beginning of the front straight. Classic Car magazine did an article entitled "Gravel Rash". Great MG memory.

We bought the MG in 2016 in unrestored condition which was unroadworthy. My most memorable moment was after we restored it was its first long distance road trip to Wanganui with the VCC club.

Aged 18 in the MGB roadster I then owned, competing in the MGCC Auckland Far North trial, and clean-sheeting the infamous Cabbage Patch technical section, the only team to do so. A summer of sunburn, candyfloss stuck in my beard, and great times with my good mate and co-driver Phil. MGCC Auckland.

Favourite memory? Who doesn't like a play in the dirt or a good hot bath and polish occassionally? Any opportunity for a drive in the countryside, the sun out, windows down, and the sound of the exhaust humming in the ears is perfect. Every opportunity is a favourite memory.
